The October 18 2010 school board elections are a great opportunity for Albertans to get involved in public education - by voting or running as a candidate for school trustee. See the Local Authorities Election Act and the School Act.* Alberta Education is currently reviewing the School Act and the goal is to introduce a new act in the legislature during the Fall Session, 2010.
