How should school boards respond given the growing prevalence of shootings, stabbings and bullying reported in schools today?

First, get to know the legislative requirements. Failing to respond in accordance with the legislation may result in steep fines and even jail time. The good news: the response required under legislation is easy to follow because it is written in a step by step manner. The bad news: it’s difficult for an employer to determine if a complaint is legitimate, especially given the sometimes subtle nature of harassment and differing perceptions of potential violence.
