First elected in 2007, Edmonton Catholic Schools representative to the ASBA Board of Directors Becky Kallal is a former junior and senior high social studies teacher. She subsequently spent 13 years as the head editor of the Learner Evaluation Branch of Alberta Education and then worked for a private educational publishing company. As a trustee with Edmonton Catholic Schools, Becky led a review and rewriting of the board’s Organizational Bylaw and policies; served on the district’s budget committee, led the redrawing of the district’s ward boundaries and led the board in developing a more effective committee structure.
