Day 4 Education: talking about
public education with MLA candidates

As of April 13, 27 school boards reported Day 4 Education activities including hosting two World Cafés, 10 candidate forums and 11 school boards circulating the four key questions to local candidates. Check out the upcoming events here.

Collective bargaining: A legal view conference

Bargaining in bad faith; communications during negotiations; the union’s duty to represent and management rights will be explored at the ASBA’s May 23/24 Collective Bargaining: A legal view conference.  Participants will hear from counsel representing unions and management working in education and health.

45 school boards completed
Benchmark Community Engagement Survey

Thanks to the 45 school boards who have completed the Benchmark Community Engagement Survey. The deadline was March 30. The survey is aimed at finding out how school boards are engaging their communities, identifying barriers to community engagement and best practices. These results will inform the work of the ASBA’s Community Engagement Task Force.
