Boards Conference in Edmonton

More than 220 Alberta school trustees and administrators will gather at the Sheraton Grande in Edmonton for the Alberta School Boards Association's (ASBA) conference for new trustees and new board chairs.

DR. DAVID TOWNSEND - THE IMPACT OF REFORM ON EDUCATION

Dr. David Townsend's ongoing research about the impact of educational reform suggests that while Alberta's schools are doing more with less, any conclusion that the reformed system is a "better" system is at best premature. To sum up his findings, following the restructuring launched in 1993, conditions in schools are about the same or worse.
