Arbitration ins and outs with Paula Knopf
The ASBA is pleased to offer a full-day session with leading Ontario arbitrator Paula Knopf. Tailored to senior jurisdiction staff with Human Resources responsibilities, this session is also open to interested trustees.
This hands-on seminar will cover:
- successful management of grievance arbitrations
- resolving workplace disputes via alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
- preparing for a grievance arbitration
- understanding of the standard of reasonableness in the work place
- managing duty to accommodate issues
Paula Knopf has worked in the sector since 1980. She is President of the Ontario Labour Management Arbitrators Association and she is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School where she teaches Labour Arbitration and has supervised several Masters theses.
