The Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) congratulates Alberta’s Education Minister on her appointment

On behalf of Alberta’s 61 public, separate and francophone school boards, ASBA looks forward to working with new Education Minister Adriana LaGrange

May 3, 2019, Edmonton, AB —On behalf of ASBA’s 61, locally-elected public, separate and francophone school boards, the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) congratulates Education Minister Adriana LaGrange on her appointment, and looks forward to working with her toward the betterment of education in Alberta.

As a former school board trustee, Minister LaGrange understands the needs of Alberta’s locally-elected school boards. I am eager to build on our strong relationship with Minister LaGrange, leading the betterment of education by serving locally-elected school boards in their role of establishing the conditions for student success.”

  • A funding formula review;
  • The Education Act;
  • Superintendent matters; and,
  • The MELT program.
