This includes the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, Premier of Alberta, cabinet ministers and MLAs. General Meetings regularly convene 400+ member school board trustees, superintendents and top administrators from across the province. Our members are collectively responsible for more than $7 billion in education spending and represent over 700,000 students in rural, urban and metro communities in Alberta. |
Fall General MeetingSunday: Awards Evening Celebrate excellence in education alongside trustees, board senior administration, first-year teachers and key community partners. With attendance from the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, this evening provides a platform for recognizing contributions to the future of education. Monday: Business Session Connect with trustees, senior board administration and provincial officials as the province's key decision-makers discuss the future of our locally-elected school systems. Tuesday: MLA Breakfast and Professional Development Network with trustees, senior board administration, school board association executives from across Canada and provincial officials from across Alberta at the MLA Breakfast, followed by sessions featuring subject matter experts .
