Nine Exceptional Students Receive Alberta School Boards Association Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Award

June 10, 2024, Edmonton AB –Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) celebrated nine exceptional student recipients of ASBA’s 2024 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Student Award on June 10 at Government House.

Selected from nominees across Alberta, recipients have shown tremendous growth in developing skills to better themselves through determination, initiative and independence, leading to their improvement and success both academically and personally.

There are three regions throughout the province (north, central and south), with three award categories in each region. There is one award issued for each grade category in each of the three regions, for a total of nine awards. Grade categories include:

  • Grade 6
  • Grade 9
  • Grade 11

  • An award certificate from ASBA’s President and the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta;
