2023-2026 Strategic Plan
ASBA’s 2023-2026 plan came into effect on September 1, 2023, and is available in English and French.
The member-driven plan will guide ASBA’s work over the next three years, focusing on strengthening members’ ability to govern in support of student success; elevating the value and expertise of ASBA and members; and, impacting all decisions related to education.

ASBA’s work is informed by these core values as well as the following priorities
Strengthen member school boards’ ability to govern
- Provide professional development and learning resources for trustees
- Provide consulting services and support for school boards
Elevate the value and expertise of ASBA and locally-elected school boards
- Raise public awareness of ASBA and locally-elected school boards
- Maintain a high level of public confidence by continuing positive and constructive public and government relations
Impact all decisions related to education
- Position locally-elected school boards and ASBA as the identified leaders on all educational matters
- Advance member priorities through targeted advocacy and strong relationships with all stakeholders
